RECENTLY AWARDED CONTRACTS

BOTHELL HIGH SCHOOL PHASE III

DBC has been awarded the Mechanical installation at Bothell High School.  This 100,000 square foot building will be renovated; including classrooms, modernization of the cafeteria and kitchen, offices and commons area.  DBC’s work began in July 2007 and is scheduled for completion in September 2008.  The general contractor is Cornerstone General Contractors of Redmond WA, and total cost of construction is $35M.    

LYNNWOOD HIGH SCHOOL

DBC commenced Mechanical work at the new Lynnwood High School, constructed by Cornerstone General Contracting, in July of 2007.  The project total cost is $99M.  The facility consists of a new 2 story, fully accessible 214,000 square foot building, designed to accommodate 1600 students and 100 staff personnel.  The design by Basetti Architects incorporates integrated wireless technology, and a naturally lighted library.  Plans include a 350 seat performance oriented theater, with a thrust stage, and 35 seat orchestra pit. Also included are indoor athletic facilities with full auxiliary gymnasiums, weight and wrestling rooms.  Construction at the 40 acre site east of I-5 on North Road is scheduled to complete in time for the 2009/10 school year.

BELLINGHAM ART & CHILDRENS MUSEUM

DBC has been awarded the Mechanical work on a new $11M Art and Childrens Museum to be constructed at 216 Grand Avenue in Bellingham. The design by the architectural firm of Olson Sundberg Kundig Allen of Seattle features a soaring translucent curved wall that will encircle a public garden. The General Contractor is Ebenal Construction, Bellingham, WA.
