DBC PIPE FABRICATION FACILITIES

Our pipe shop is ASME certified, holding the “PP,” the “U,” and the “S” stamps. These certifications authorize us to fabricate power boilers, boiler external piping and pressure vessels to ASME Code Section I, ASME B31.1 and Section VIII Division I. We also maintain the National Board “R” stamp certification where conformity to these standards is specified.

The pipe shop is supervised by Gerrit Van Voorst, whose experience in pipe fabrication exceeds 30 years. Gerrit manages a select crew that has an accumulated pipe fabrication experience equal to more than a century. They not only understand production, they take great pride in the quality of their product.

All weld procedures and welder qualifications conform to the strict standards of ASME Section IX. Diamond B Constructors (DBC) currently has 81weld procedures that can be used in welding carbon steel, stainless steel, chome-moly, titanium and high nickel materials (P-1 through P-51) with various processes (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, and SAW).

We orient our fabrication operations toward our customers’ work, and as such we remain adaptable to unusual scheduling requirements and differing priorities.
